Lorain’s income tax amnesty program has gone so well, it will continue to May 31, City Treasurer Terri Soto said.
Soto announced the extension March 29 as the line stood a dozen people deep waiting to file their various papers at the treasurer’s office, 605 W. Fourth St., Lorain.
The Lorain Treasurer’s Office has an income tax amnesty period for taxpayers to file returns and pay their taxes and interest without penalties. The program began Feb. 1.
